Idre Fjäll, Dalarna: Speed skiing on a truly “shocking” slope

April 9-10 you can see the world elite of speed skiers race down Scandinavia's steepest groomed piste to compete for final World Cup victory

As every year, the ski resort Idre Fjäll in Dalarna will host a FIS World Cup in speed skiing. The competition will take place on a truly “shocking” slope this weekend – the steep slope is named “Chocken”, which is Swedish and means “The Shock”. The course record is 179 km/h.
