During the World Travel Awards gala in Sardinia, Italy earlier this month Hotel Tylösand was crowned as the winner in the category “Sweden’s Leading Spa Resort 2015”. World Travel Awards is the international travel industry’s equivalent of the Oscars. Hotel Tylösand won the category of spa in Sweden already in 2012.
Hotel Tylösand, on the west coast of Halland and right by the sea, lies just 8 km from the centre of Halmstad. The hotel has 230 rooms, 32 meeting rooms, 4 restaurants, a nightclub, spa, a conference hall, as well as Sweden’s largest art gallery. The magnificent view of the sea, the environment, art, food and the atmosphere are rather unique for hotels in Sweden.
Per Gessle, Roxette
The hotel is partly owned by Per Gessle from the famous Swedish pop duo Roxette. In some of the conference rooms you can see Roxette memorabilia and other pop history items. There is even a small museum in the Leif’s Lounge nightclub.
