In competition with cities such as Stockholm and Gothenburg, Kalmar in southeast Småland has been voted “Best Swedish Summer Town” second year in a row. This was announced on national Swedish TV this morning.
The vote was conducted during the period May 25 to June 6, 2016 among visitors of the travel site Reseguiden.se. The number of responses in this year’s vote was just over 37,000 (last year there were just over 26,000 votes).
