“Swipe” for Mr. Right: Beatrix Kiddo makes fun of dating apps

Beatrix Kiddo is half American and half Swedish. Her song “Swipe” makes fun of dating apps such as Tinder.

Since the end of last week, her video has been viewed 130,000 times on her Facebook page and 40,000 times on YouTube.

Just over a year ago Beatrix moved from L.A. to Sweden for a guy she met on Tinder but she was dumped after only four weeks. “I was tired of all the nerds and weird types I met through dating apps, and when I was dumped by a text message, it was just too much. I gathered my girl gang, bought a box of wine and we sat in the studio and wrote the whole song in two hours,” says Beatrix.

In the video she scrolls past hundreds of famous faces. One can glimpse the Swedish profiles Måns Zelmerlöw, Alexander Skarsgård, Eric Saade and Sean Banan, and foreign stars like Justin Bieber, One Direction, Jake Gyllenhaal, Arnold Schwarzenegger and superblogger Perez Hilton.
