After only eight weeks of renovation the doors to the new hotel bar “Bar Anglais” in Stockholm will open today. The bar is located in the Scandic Anglais Hotel at the fashionable Stureplan square.
19 metres long
Stureplan’s longest bar measures no less than 19 metres and is a natural meeting place where popular cocktails are served under an impressive chandelier.
“Scandic Anglais was one of the first hotels in Stockholm to open up to outside guests, which quickly proved to be extremely popular. Given our superb location and Anglais story, it feels like an obligation to make the absolute best of the available space,” says Petra Lindholm, Hotel Manager at Scandic Anglais.
At the Bar Anglais you will be able to enjoy everything from an à la carte breakfast to a really good and classic bar menu.
The Bar Anglais will be open Mon-Sat from 9 in the morning to 2 at night; Sundays from 9 to 24. There are DJ’s every day of the week.

The Scandic Anglais is one of our favourite hotels in Stockholm. It has a really fantastic breakfast buffet. If you are travelling on a smaller budget, there are also small rooms (without windows) available in the basement – they are modern, well-equipped and well-ventilated.
