Last week the City of Malmö, the new Clarion Hotel and the Malmö Live Concert Hall jointly inaugurated the whole Malmö Live neighbourhood. In front of a large outdoor stage 10,000 people watched the ceremony and listened to various bands. The street party took place in the middle of the intersection Neptunigatan/Nordenskiöldsgatan.
Congress centre and concert hall
Malmö Live is a new congress centre and top-class concert hall, together with new apartment buildings, offices and a hotel – all in the heart of the city, not far from the Central Station. The first parts of the Malmö Live neighbourhood have now been completed and are open for all to enjoy.
Malmö Live covers 90,000 square metres, an entire city block. There are avenues with trees and waterfront eateries. Malmö Live connects the modern Western Harbour area (Västra Hamnen) with the old quarter of Gamla Väster.
Address
The Malmö Live area is located at Neptuni Park (Neptuniparken), a stone’s throw from Malmö Central Station (map).
