Exactly 150 years ago, on July 1, 1866, the Stockholm wine merchant Johan Ludvig Lundberg opened his Hotel Kung Carl on Birger Jarlsgatan 21 in the centre of Stockholm.
Today, the Hotel Kung Carl is the oldest hotel in Stockholm. Celebrations take place throughout the year.
New lobby, front desk and cocktail bar
Planned for the celebration year are a re-make of the lobby and front desk as well as a brand new bar serving classic cocktails.
143 unique hotel rooms
The hotel has a bar and restaurant, conference facilities, mini-gym, and 143 hotel rooms where each one is unique, with different styles and different furnishings.
